Low 03:23
LOW I’m doing everything that makes me happy Doing everything that makes me happy If I’m doing everything that makes me happy Why am I so low? Look at all the people splashing in the river. Look at all the people splashing in the river. All the happy people laughing in the river. Why am I so low? Why am I so low? Sun shining brightly lighting up the skyway Sun shining brightly but I feel like I could cry. Strumming my guitar, I’m singing to the melody Strumming my guitar, singing to the melody Strumming my guitar to such a pretty melody So why am I so low? Sun shining brightly lighting up the skyway Sun shining brightly but I feel like I could cry. It takes rain to make a rainbow, you know It takes rain to make a rainbow, you know It takes re to make so-la-ti-do So why am I so low? Doing everything that makes me happy Doing everything that makes me happy If I’m doing everything that makes me happy Why am I so low?

EVEN THOUGH THE SKY WAS FALLING (ONE BEAUTIFUL DAY) Nobody knows what they had But everyone’s sure that they’ve lost. Counting the days like pennies spent, Like paying rent instead of owning your own. Oh but to have one beautiful day more With you and me happy again. Nobody’s sure of the words But everyone knows just how it goes. Under their breath humming along, This secret song - this timeless record of you. Oh but to have one beautiful day more With you and me happy again. We grabbed our bikes and we rode through the city When the sky turned dark with silver, and it crashed with gold. We were laughing; we didn’t care. We pedaled faster into the wind - we let it carry us away. And I thought we’d make it home. I thought we’d make it. I thought we’d make it home Even though the sky was falling. Oh but to have one beautiful day more With you and me happy again.

BITTER GRASSES You don’t hear a word I said. No, you don’t hear a word I said. I’m banging my head on the bedroom wall. Like talking to the back of your head. I’m talking to the back of your head You’re playing dead, not rolling with this at all. And every moment that passes here among the bitter grasses It’s another chance lost to lay a path across and get past this. You think I’m an ice cream cone. Yeah, you think I’m an ice cream cone. You think I’m cold; I won’t leave your head alone Or you think I’m a telephone. Well, you think I’m a telephone. You pick me up and put me down, then you pretend that you’re not home. And every moment that passes here among the bitter grasses It’s another chance lost to lay a path across and get past this. I’m harder than a concrete slab. I’m hotter than a Cajun dance. I’m madder than a string of fire ants And I think that freaks you out! And every moment that passes here among the bitter grasses It’s another chance lost to lay a path across and get past this. You don’t hear a word I said. No, you don’t hear a word I said. I’m banging my head on the bedroom wall. Like talking to the back of your head. I’m talking to the back of your head. You’re playing dead, not rolling with this at all And every moment that passes here among the bitter grasses It’s another chance lost to lay a path across and get past this. And every moment that passes here among the bitter grasses It’s another chance lost to lay a path across and get past this.

NOT LOOKING FOR LOVE I’m not looking for love This foolish thing left behind. I’m not looking for love, But I hope it finds me. When will you find me… A double feature ticket to the afternoon show. But what’s the point in laughing, even the lights are low. A full popcorn bag on an empty seat, in an empty row. The curtain’s going up, but I think I’ll go. I’m not looking for love This foolish thing left behind. I’m not looking for love, But I hope it finds me. When will you find me… A table by the kitchen it’s the only single in the house. I brought along my favourite book, and I read it aloud. Cause one-sided conversations kept getting me kicked out. Is there anything else, dear? Now here’s your bill, dear. Make room for the new round. I’m not looking for love This foolish thing left behind. I’m not looking for love, But I hope it finds me. When will you find me… Love, you were hiding in the back seat You kissed me and pulled out a map of Canada and showed it to me. Love, now I’m standing by the side of the road. I couldn’t go – I was too afraid to leave my home. I’m not looking for love This foolish thing left behind. I’m not looking for love, But I hope it finds me. When will you find me… love.

MOTORCYCLE RIDE Motorcycle training course, I took it on the weekends Me and my first boyfriend, we bought ourselves An old bike with our savings. We were gonna to ride. He was so much taller and he mostly did the driving I’d throw my arms around his waist, my heart Racing. Fear rushed through me like lightening. If you’re gonna ride, gravity is pivotal Be careful of a heart held in the peripheral They say the first time you fall is the hardest But I tell you, it was easy. Throwing caution to the wind that brushed against our cheeks We drove into the middle of a field of wheat We were flying, helmets strapped to the back of the seat. And blossoming like cherries growing wild in the orchard Our arms and legs were bare in the scorching heat And the fruit was ripe, dropped like rain from the sky. If you’re gonna ride, gravity is pivotal Be careful of a heart held in the peripheral They say the first time you fall is the hardest But I tell you, it was easy. Every now and then I think about him I heard that he got married and moved down to The States. Two kids with his beautiful bride. Now I don’t ride a motorbike, though I still have my license Trying to make sense of all the years, and how the road Unwinds. I wonder, does he ever think of that time? If you’re gonna ride, gravity is pivotal Be careful of a heart held in the peripheral They say the first time you fall is the hardest But I tell you, it was easy. Motorcycle training course, I took it on the weekends Me and my first boyfriend, we bought ourselves an old bike. We were gonna to ride. It was easy, we were gonna ride

LITTLE GREY SPARROW Little grey Sparrow hanging ‘round the garden shed Shake off the cobwebs from your sleepy wings For winter’s heading out. Pack up the nest, leave the rest We’re gonna be alright, I’ll be Chasing the summer, I’m a boxcar runner Gonna be alright, I’ll be Home. Wherever you roam no matter how far Wherever you go remember that’s where you are True as an arrow sticking to the apple tree They said she was a tiger, she never quit fighting With the circus clowns In love with the freedom, each town an Eden Gonna be alright, I’ll be Up on the wire, I’m a big top flyer Gonna be alright, I’ll be Home. Wherever you roam, no matter how wide Wherever you go remember you’ll be fine So fly… little sparrow Fly… little teacup Fly… little arrow Heart’s an archer, she points you to the marrow. Do-doo-do-doo In love with the freedom, each town an Eden Gonna be alright, I’ll be Chasing the wire, I’m a big top flyer Gonna be alright, I’ll be Home. Little grey Sparrow Little grey Sparrow Little grey Sparrow

SHOOTING STAR I’m no one trick pony In a one horse town Kicking away at the afternoons Till I do my rounds. I’m done with lonely You know I’m getting out I’m opening up the stable door No more feeling down. You’re just what I needed, you’re just what I needed (You are my shooting star!) I’m no one hit wonder In Karaoke Town. Singing along with the cowboy tunes. It’s to the range I’m bound. You’re just what I needed, you’re just what I needed (You are my shooting star!) You are my shooting star. Kiss me, kiss me…wish me on… You’re just what I needed, you’re just what I needed (You are my shooting star!) I’m no one trick wonder In a one horse town I’m opening up the stable gate It’s to the range I’m bound. You’re just what I needed, you’re just what I needed You’re just what I needed, you’re just what I needed (You are my shooting star!)

Be My Girl 03:54
BE MY GIRL My hands are tied behind my back To the chair, to the wood, to the side of me That is afraid. Be my girl, be my girl Be my girl. Standing wave, flightless man Stinging bee – Cause she can’t Grow the wings, shake the bond, throw the night, Take back those things that belong to you. Be my girl, be my girl Be my girl Hallelujah, Hallelujah I’m gone When the day breaks into shards of sun And pierces dawn. Be my girl (All the love we could have) Be my girl (All the love we should have) Be my girl (All the love that we desire)

Ten Stories 03:39
TEN STORIES There’s always a reason, isn’t there? Love came down from the trees For something so pleasing how is it Love has such gravity? Me on the street You on the balcony Ten stories up, and climbing You’re rhyming off reasons without ever answering. What once was so easy At the start of it, you gave so willingly But for the seasons That weathered your heart, and took you from me Me on the street You on the balcony Ten stories up, and climbing You’re rhyming off reasons without ever answering. Why do we need Need it to be So heavy? You’re rhyming off reasons without ever answering. Me on the street You on the balcony Ten stories up, and climbing You’re rhyming off reasons without even answering. Why do we need Need it to be So heavy? You’re rhyming off reasons without ever answering.

Beauty 05:41
BEAUTY Like an eggcup fills the shell Like gravity fills a well Like a churchyard fills a bell Like a desert fills the sand Like music fills the band Like details fill a plan Like a finder fills the view I am filled with Love Like a reader fills a book Like a cranny fills a nook Like a lover fills a look Like a sunrise fills the dew I am filled with Love Beauty begs of us Embrace the wonder in all our splendor Though it be coy Beauty begs of us That we be filled with Joy - we be filled with Joy And like a mountain fills the trail A wheat field fills a bale Like a tall ship fills a sail I am full of love Like a cymbal fills a swell Like an ocean fills a shell Magic potion fills a spell Like a shoelace fill a shoe I am full of love Beauty begs of us Embrace the wonder in all our splendor Though it be coy Beauty begs of us That we be filled with Joy - we be filled with Joy
